Just your frienly neighborhood zookeeper that enjoys taking photos of all things nature. I havnt worked up the nerve to photograph ppl yet which is why there is an almost complete lack of them in my gallery. Animals and sports... 2 of my favorite things.

Hey everyone,

So those of you who have followed me for a long time know that I don't get on here consistently.  I usually upload in random bursts and my activity level on dA usually follows that same style.  Honestly, dA hasnt been doing it for me lately and I think it's time for a break.  When I was at the height of my experience here I had this "want" to get on dA as soon as I get home from work or wherever I was.  I used to hang out in the chats or forums and talk it up for a little while each night.  I don't feel that way much anymore and I think it's because taking pictures just hasnt been something I've spent much time on recently.  A lot has been going on... work has been pretty stressful and busy, my gf and I moved into a new apt (our first apt) a little over a month ago... and I just havnt had time to really sit and work on my photos.  I'm not saying I won't ever be back... and for all of you that routinely comment on my new work and fav it I really appreciate it everything you have done.  But I think I need to just not worry about dA for a while.... if i get a great shot I'll be sure to post it... but for now this will likely be the last thing you see from me for a while.

Steveeee! Long time no chat! [I guess thats what I get for forgetting my password, eh? Haha!] Anywho, I just thought it'd be fun to let you know that I've been living in good ol' Baltimore for about 4ish months now and I'm finally heading to the zoo on Saturday [hopefully!]! I'm so excited, I haven't been since I was little and the Penguins tried to eat my shoelaces :lmao: Hope all is well and you're still running around the zoo with your camera while you work! Of course, I'd go gallery-stalk you but it happens to be 4:15am and I have no idea as to how I'm still awake :lol: G'night!

haha its cool... ive been barely on dA as of late... just stopping in from time to time to empty my inbox. lol im sorry for this now.. and youre gonna hate me for it... but i dont remember any of our previous conversations :( obviously you know i work at MZiB (which btw ill be there tomorrow... ill be up around the otters all day)

Ahahaha its no biggie, I can't hate anyone for such a little reason, especially considering we haven't talked in..well..a really -really- long time so it's completely understandable xD I'm the girl that like..randomly started talking to you a whileeeeee[I'd add more 'e's but that's obnoxious haha] ago about the Ravens and then we just kinda' had random conversations here and there after that :XD: Oh and my old account was Lilla-Taura [:iconlilla-taura:] if that helps to ring any bells.

And cool! When I'm around the otters I'll have to look around and see if I see a zookeeper nearby haha! If you see an 18 year old with two elderly women [my grandma and her best friend have insisted that they come to the zoo with me even though I warned them that I go back and forth between exhibits all day :lmao:] that's me!

haha ill keep that in mind.... ill be all around the marsh aviay (hint hint there's some ducks in full breeding plumage in there), the otters (always good for photos), and the red fox/snapping turtle exhibit (almost impossible to get pictures of these guys from the public pathway). But I also walk through Africa on nice days on my way to lunch around 12ish... so if you see a 6'3"ish zookeeper with a shaved head and a nikon thats probably me. theres only around 5 guy keepers so your odds are pretty good
